Including the number of undiagnosed people there is estimated to be over 4 million people living with diabetes in the UK at present. This is 6% of the population, or 1 in every 16 people including diagnosed and undiagnosed.
In the US 34.2 million people, or 10.5% of the population, have diabetes. An estimated 26.8 million people – or 10.2% of the population had diagnosed diabetes. Approximately 7.3 million people have diabetes but have not yet been diagnosed
